EHEADS' BIGGEST FANS

FROM 40 ENTRIES, THREE FANS HAVE EARNED THE "FINALIST" TITLE. TAKE A LOOK AT EXCERPTS FROM THEIR MASTERPIECES.

'Heads-loving fans, here are the three finalists (in no particular order) for the Biggest eHeads fan contest:

FINALIST A

...I immediately sent out emails to friends asking them to help me write my piece by telling me why they think I am indeed the Eheads’ number one fan.

Here’s what they have to say:

...You know all the Eheads songs by heart and each has significance in your life. Torpedo and Insomya are your life’s sound track. And your words always contain Eheads lyrics or titles.
...You believed in them and in their music. You always end up defending the band whenever you hear any negative comment about them. You sometimes even end up in fights.
...You learned how to play the guitar just to be able to play their songs.
...You were so devastated when they broke up that you even took a leave of absence from work. You were the happiest person when they had a reunion concert. You bought tickets and shirts and distributed them to friends.

...Then came March 7, 2009. This time I got the VIP tickets with my friend.I didn’t care if I stood there with my aching legs for almost four hours. I jumped, danced, shouted and sang with everyone else. I didn’t want to sit down and rest my already weary feet and legs as I did not want to give up my very good spot. Instead, as the crown held their hands up in the air, I raised my crutch up and waived it declaring to the whole world that this crippled guy is indeed the number one Eraserheads fan!

FINALIST B

Oi! Oi punk! Sahanga pala, ako ang biggest Eraserheads fan at ang mga ginawa ko ay: Bumile ako ng ultraelectromagneticpop kahit di ko pa alam kung ano ang mga kanta sa loob. Aha! Binili ko lahat ng tapes nila mula Ultra hanggang Carbon, hanggang tribute albums…sa first day of release huh.. tsaka lahat nung pinroduce nila tsaka lahat nung album guestings nila okey?...

...Tapos nagpakulay ako ng buhok. Hindi yung yellow ah..yung..GREEEN! Kaso di nakuha ng parlorista yung green kaya nauwi sa gold!!! Tapos nag-gatecrash ako sa Limits Disco kase dun ang launch ng Aloha, pareho pa kami ng army jacket na suot ni Markus! Tapos bumile ako ng maraaaaming maramiiing Natin99 stickers at pinagdeeedidikit ko sa mga bus pag umuuwi ako from Manila to Pampanga! Tapos tinitignan ko ng masama ang mga tinginingining na kupaw nayan kase gusto lagi nila kupaw binabastos na nila mga idol ko!

FINALIST C

...Dalawang gabi ang ibinigay nila sa atin, kahit pa nakasulat sa ilalim ng poster ay "one night only." Dahil ito ang mga una't-huling mapapanood ko sila bilang Eraserheads, naging tahimik ako sa dalawang pagkakataong iyon. Ayaw kong mapapikit kahit sandali habang tumutugtog sila.Wala akong pakialam sa hiyawan at pagshe-shake yer head ng mga tao. Kung hindi lang talaga masakit sa mata ang pagtitig nang matagal, nagawa ko nga sana. Gusto kong namnamin ang mga sandaling iyon. Kahit walang dalang kamera, gusto kong itato sa utak ko ang bawat detalye ng mga gabing napahinto nila ang pag-ikot ng mundo. Sa dami ng mga kanta nila, isa lang ang halos nagpatulo sa mababaw kong luha.

I hope, we could spend more time together
A few hours is better than never
If we could only make it longer
A whole day would be fine...

Forever would be fine...

HOLY SIYETE! Mababasa ni Raims 'yung gawa ko! Grabe. Parang nagpa-panic ako na hindi maintindihan. Bumibilis, umiikot, natitisod sari sari labo labo ALKOHOOOOOOL!!!! Sana lang hindi ako atakihin sa puso hanggang bukas. LOL Maraming salamat sa pagpili sa gawa ko, Ms. Mica at Pulse. Gaya nga nang nasabi ko sa email, mabasa lang ni Raims ay ayos na sa akin (pero shempre mas ayos kung may gitara pa rin.lol) Fearless forecast: sa tingin ko si Finalist A ang mananalo. Pero kahit sino pa ang manalo, sigurado akong deserving talaga. Good luck talaga sa ating tatlo. =)

:'( talo.. congratz na lang sa mananalo.. ung finalist B,"pag nakita ko cia, babatuhin ko ko para may makwento ako ke lola!!" hi lola!! astig :')
